What is Scare on the Square ?
April 2019, I decide to do something fun, creative, and technology focused. Shortly after VR Social was born, a virtual reality arcade with a “social” twist. We introduced GLOW Bicycle rides, moon telescope viewings, Earth Day plantings, Virtual Art Experiences, Gaming tournaments … AND ScreamFest!
ScreamFest was a week long event during Halloween where we played movies on our back wall, had only VR horror experiences, and it ended with one final night of triple feature movies.
During the final night of ScreamFest 2020, my spouse and I had dressed up pretty scary as a “murder” bunny, and a freaky doll. We finished cleaning up, looked at each other and said, “We can’t let these costumes go to WASTE!”
So we decided to head to the square and simply walk around to see what mischievousness we could cause. It was a BLAST! Simply walking around the square and people screaming…. and that’s when Scare on the Square was born.
